I went last year, but I found out about this from my local coin shop, because they said they were going to have a stall or something there, and so i thought that It would be worth going, and when I got there it was massive! really enjoyed that day, picked up some really good stuff, like some 1800 Penny's and a couple of 1910 half crowns really quite cheaply, which I needed for a set that I wanted.

Difference between 2 Indian coins

If you look at the pattern on it, or the circle in the middle, on one the text is quite compact, whereas the other is spaced out, so really it is just a change in that floral design, or the edging.

check this out!

Stamp and Note
Posté le : 14-02-2012, 13h32

Hello Martin here, • Just found in my bedroom sort of envelope, with a stamp sealed inside it, and then a flip out bit, which has a note from china (as with the stamp), and as my neighbour is from Hong Kong, I thought maybe they would be able to translate for me, because there is a paragraph in Chinese, and so they looked over the first line or so, and apparently the stamp is made from 24 Carat Gold, so they said if I gave them an hour or so they would send me the translation. • So can't wait to see what else it says!!!! • let's see what unravels, within the hour!!!!!!!! • Martin

How do you store and manage your collection?

Citation: Matt ProbertCitation: mayank14000   Wow...Now I am more than eager to see some snaps of your huge collection. Yeah, I understand you cant capture your entire collection but please do try to post some snaps. I am super excited and waiting!!! :) • • Oh well... • • Here are the organiser cabinets, with a few proof sets on top, and a few organiser boxes on top (I never said I was tidy). • • And here are the Spanish ones in their ice cream box: • • The French centimes have their own box, the French Francs the same. • The folders are scattered around where our rabbits cant eat them (don't ask!) and there are other organiser boxes littering my office. • One day I might get some work done, rather than messing about with these damned coins! • Matt • • Just wondering, where did you get the storage things from???

What made you decide to start collecting coins?

Hello, I am also 16 Years old, and my dad died in 2005 and I had never even known much about him, but one day I was in the loft and i had stumbled upon a spices pot, and me being very nosy, thought i would take a look inside it, and i had found around a 100 or so coins, when i had found them i had a felling that I should go onto and collect coins, and since i found them last summer, i have been to a fair, and have met really great people and made good friends ever since, and from those first 100 coins, I have now got over a 1000 coins in total! so i am glad that i was very nosey that day, and still today people in my school think i'm weird for collecting coins, but most of the teachers think that it is good for me, and they have also contributed too, and they have given me around 100 all together! so really thank full to them. • Martin.

1797 Trade Dollar
Posté le : 21-07-2011, 7h18

Yes, I have just been given a 1797 Trade Dollar, I know that it is silver, but I need a price estimate, as my local shop will not give me an estimate, this is in pretty good condition (f/vf), and on the reverse it has Liberty sitting on a column of bricks, with the liberty sache, and an olive branch in each of her hands, then finally the date, then on the front you have the eagle, in one talon it is holding an olive branch, and the other one is 3 arrows. would like some help on an estimate please??

Would you be able to measure it roughly??? and if your estimation is correct about the year, then it should have a woman facing the left i'm not sure what legend it is most probably like 2nd or 3rd??,
