In September 1, 2021, the new coins of the CFP franc were released into circulation with denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, and 200 francs. But all of them haven't added to Numista catalogue yet. Maybe because the coins have not yet owned to collectors due to the following:

• Travel restrictions due to pandemic.
• Sending those coins in post letters may not arrive instantly; and/or
• Only few collectors (most of them do not have Numista account) have those coins.

Please add them if any of you have those coins. Thank you.

Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
Meanwhile, you can enjoy them here: https://www.ieom.fr/nouvelles-pieces/

I suppose you could download the images and create the new entries (if we have permission to use their images ).

As far as I can see, even with the permission, you would not have full reverses and obverses of each coin, and some would not be round....

A small penalty to pay for having one's impatience addressed.:D
Click on the lower double images to get the coin on its own page, then right click on both sides of the coin and open in a new tab, both sides of the coin appear perfectly round and could be used on Numista as long as we have permission to use the images.

If the weight, diameter, composition and the alignment was listed on the page those would be added to the catalogue immediately without the images but because those aren’t listed we need to wait until then.

Now I have tried, and the quality isn't good. 25 kb only , so I'll wait for home made images with at least 10 times more pixels...

I think we can add a coin without all of the technical data, right?
Just a title, country, currency and denomination is enough I think.

Then again, I am finding 750 year old coins that have never been added to the catalog, so I guess urgency is relative.

Just wait for the real appearance of those coins. Maybe we will wait for less than a half year to see if any Numista user own those coins. Since there are no information about its compositions, diameters, metals, and edges even on its website (in French language); please volunteer if you found one of that series to inspect that what are the compositions, diameters, metals, and edges about those coins.

You selected "requesting the creation or the modification of a reference catalog" for your post type. It clearly isn't about a catalog but a new coin. That's why it was rejected. You should have picked "requesting the modification of a coin in the catalog" as the post type.
Seeing these precious coins that will replace those of French Polynesia and New Caledonia, I had a doubt. What will be the country / issuer that we will use in Numista? From what I see in the images, the inscription will be Institut d'Emission d'Outre-mer.
Coin referee for: Andorra
Banknote referee for: Spain and Andorra
I thought about that this morning. Since I never understood the new way of setting up entities, I suppose two entities will be closed and a new one created. Otherwise we would have to the old ones with same coins? Difficult to coordinate.
the deciders will decide.

Maybe a new country French Territories of the Pacific, with 4 issuers:
  • French Territories of the Pacific (New coin series 2021-)
  • French Polynesia (Old coin series with French Polynesia inscription)
  • New Caledonia (Old coin series with New Caledonia inscription)
  • French Oceania (Old coins with Establissements Français de l'Oceanie inscription)
Coin referee for: Andorra
Banknote referee for: Spain and Andorra

New Hebrides is a former colony of France in the Pacific, right? But that country is now independent, and that is Vanuatu.

On the Ucoin website they call this "new" country / issuer French Pacific Territories, will it be done like this in Numista?

Of course. Thank you for writing the informations of compositions and diameters! But I cannot create a country unless if I were a referee.

On the banknote side there is already an issuer for French Pacific Territories. Since Coins, Banknotes, and Exonumia share the same country list, one could make a request to add the coins.

Oops, I didn't know that only I could see those links, sorry for my ignorance. I hope someone can approve the creations request as soon as possible so they can be made available to all Numista users.
An example of the creation request of the 200 Francs CFP (screen shot)

As you can see, the only option in the Currency field for the French Pacific Territories is CFP Franc (1985-date), is this correct for the coins (maybe it is correct for banknotes, but I think coins period starts before), is this correct?
