Hey,
I have a Micronesia token (the one with the pope on it),and it sais "Government of Micronesia".
Now, I now there is a fantasy issue of a privet guy, of "Federation of Micronsia" coins.
Does my token is also fantasy issue or it does an official govrnmental issue??
If it's official, what makes it token and not comm. coin?
Thanks!!

No, they were designed by Joseph Lang, who designed fantasies from 2006-2011 (ex. Rapa Nui, Kurdistan, Palestine, Lundy, etc.)

Is there any official Micronesian coin?
I looked on the KM catalog of 1900-2000 and there is none.

Nope, they use US dollar

Do not argue with ignorant people .. !! They will drag you down to their level, then pulverize you with experience ...
I hope it gets kicked from the Dashboard countries as it still bugs me even when I know it doesn't have coins. The same should be done with the Northern Mariana Islands, so far everything is a token, and no official coins have been released there (but Numista has several tokens in the coin section as usual).

I agree that the tokens of the Northern Marianna islands, a US possession with out the right of issuance of coinage, do not make a good argument for Numista to grant them nation status. It should be removed.

I am confused by the map policy as well.
Several nations that no longer produce their own currency or haven't in years - Azores, Reunion, Madeira Islands, British Indian Ocean Territory, French Guiana for example - show on the map as the country whose currency they use - Portugal, England, France. (So if I have French coins, Reunion shows up on my map, even though I don't have a coin from Reunion.)
But other nations that don't produce their own currency or haven't in years - Micronesia, St. Pierre and Miquelon, Greenland, Faroe Islands, Spitsbergen - do not show up on the map if I have coins from the country whose currency they produce.
Based on this logic, shouldn't the countries of Micronesia, St. Pierre and Miquelon, Greenland, Faroe islands, and Spitsbergen light up if I have coins of the USA, France, Denmark and Norway/Russia?
Can someone clarify the guidelines for the Numista map in terms of these countries?
Thank you

Yeah, I have noticed this as well. Also with the Soviet Union. When I try to look for countries from which I don't have coins, say Azerbaijan, it is already marked as Soviet Union and when I move my cursor over the map it only shows up as Soviet Union, but not as Azerbaijan.I wonder if Numista can color the map a little differently when you have situations like this. I would suggest a striped pattern when you have a Soviet Union coin all over the soviet countries, and a solid color when you actually have a coin from that country, the same as Reuion and Greenland, etc, A striped pattern over Greenland when you have Danish coins and a solid color if you actually have a Greenland coin, etc.
