Whilst search for a coin with the same KM#, but from a different country, I noticed this error in the listing. Two coins of the Ukraine have been listed as KM#88, which is obviously incorrect

Not neccessarily. Many coins all over the catalogue, share the same KM. It is because Krause is not really good in noticing any varieties and Numista (rightly, we are not E-Copy of Krause) differs between those coins. So it is quite common issue.

Jarcek,
Whilst I agree with you that a KM# is shared all around the world, it is not possible for a country to have two coins with the same KM#.
This would make exchanges difficult as you would not know which coin you were talking about.
I stand by my original statement, being that one of these coins is wrongly designated KM#88.
This seems especially curious with the dates being 1999 and 2012

I may have been missunderstood. Of course two coins were not assigned same KM by Krause. It is Numista (along with national catalogues) that differentiates between some serious variations and created 2 coin pages - thus there are two coins which are refering to same KM.
But in this particular case, it is surely a mistake. You are right.

Two totally different coins from the same country can't have the same KM# number. This is indeed a mistake here on Numista. The second coin is KM# 672 in stead of KM# 88. Change request is made.
By the way, this topic should be in "Numista catalog" in stead of "Numista website".
