I'm very sad to come to the conclusion a few idiots have the power to nullify the warm and goodhearted support of so many others. That's exactly what happened yesterday, a few idiots who screw up life for the majority.
I'm very disappointed someone deleted the whole topic. It makes solidarity an empty feeling. I suppose the topic went out of control because of those few idiots but I think a better way to deal with it would have been to delete the abusive posts and eventually close the topic in stead of delete it entirely.

Thanks for the support, this is indeed a black day for our little country. Today I already spent many hours watching the news instead of the things I planned. For the moment they talk about 34 people who died and a few hundreds injured.
We live in mad times and I'm afraid we'll be living in mad times for many years. The world gets crazier every day. And today I felt very angry again, because of those cowardly attacks on innocent people. Especially when they told on the news that IS supporters where joyful about what happened. I know the impact is not comparable with 9/11 but today I'm as mad as I was then. Quite by chance I saw it happen life back then from a little bit before the second plane flew into the Twin Towers. That day too (and the next days) I spent a lot of hours watching the news and I was so angry. But you see, after all those years nothing has changed: attacks in London, Paris, Istanbul, and many others and now Brussels. And this attack will certainly not be the last one. Sometimes I am ashamed to be a human.

To all our friends of Belgium I would like to tell them that we, the french people, are with you as you were with us when the same horrible attacks struck Paris.
All united, we'll defeat the murders, even though it will take some time.

I too wish to offer my support & condolences to those affected by the attacks in Brussels.

I hope all in Belgium find peace. In these mad times. Just sad.

I hope our several members from Belgium are safe and well along with their families. It's such a nasty reminder of the events of 9/11 which affected us in several personal ways.
My wife's sister and best friend was on her way to drop her husband off at work on the morning of 9/11 - at the Pentagon. They were still 10 minutes away when the plane hit and quite safe but she was stuck in traffic for a long time with no cell phone service. That was a very long morning trying to reach her and fearing the worst.
Nothing was gained by the perpetrators, it was just a senseless slaughter which lead directly to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were even more lives were wasted. Who gained?
How do we stop it? There isn't an easy solution or one that can be fair to everyone. Either path has a lot of ugly scenery.
ME: Not everthing is lost forever. Add my thoughts to those affected by this madness.

Thank you very much Jarcek. You are a real asset to the Numista team. Not only for bringing this back but for everything you do, like improving the catalog.
Hopefully the innocent victims can rest in peace now, also in this topic.
Besides, don't forget the attack was at an airport. Identification of the victims goes very slow but they talk about victims of several nationalities, not only Belgians.

Publishing only posts which fit into your personal political view is nothing more than censorship.
Either unlock every point of view, also that questionable one from the Russian guy saying "dumb Belgians deserve it and he has no remorse" or none.

If you noticed, (which you probably did not) I copied only messages which carried some form of condolence to the victims. Excluded all political statements, including my own, yours and from the man who has no heart.
This was a thread where people could pay their respect and condolences to the victims, and I restored those messages from a thread which got ruined before because people started mixing politics and hatred there.

Come on hamster, this is nothing to do with political views or censorship.
This is simply about having empathy for the people who have died, and their families and friends.
If your intention here is start a flamewar, then please move along, and allow others to air their condolences.

I have to agree. I am not for censorship in general, but in the context this forum, and of the original post, political, and trollish statements are not appropriate. I think that all reasonable people can agree innocent people should not be murdered on the streets of Belgium, Russia, Iraq..or any other place. We should weep for their deaths, and stand with the survivors.

I would have let that message from that russian guy online and uncommented. It would have condemned itself and shown for all what spiritual child that moron was.

I have a screen shot of that post. Just couldn't believe someone can even have thoughts like that. So sad...

Thank you for copying the condolences into this new thread after the other thread was destroyed by hate comments.
I think talking about politics is very important and it should not be censored.
Every view has its piece of truth (Sometimes it may be a very tiny piece).
But in a thread like this, plitics has to stand back, in my opinion.
Later, in another thread (or better on another platform than a coin forum), we can discuss how it came to this hate and violence.
And we can try to understand the view of those, who have another opinion then ours.
I didn't read the final escalation of the other thread. But i guess i lost nothing realy worth to read.
nice greetings
