Many collectors freely share everything from album pages to entire catalogs in PDF format. The best ones take a lot of searching out and many of the sites offering these well intentioned free shares require a subscription! So why not cut out these immoral middle men and share our finds right here with your fellow collectors. Coins, stamps, banknotes, photo grading tutorials... the list is potentially endless. Please, only public domain, creative commons licenced or expired copyrights, no pirated copies of current catalogs!

I lost my extensive library when my (not backed up) computer fell victim to the Florida climate but I still have plenty to share including some I created myself. Does anyone have any thoughts as to the best method to share the files among Numista users?

For now though let's get the ball rolling by sharing links where files can be downloaded. I know the D&H Conder reference is now copyright free and can be downloaded. On a purely personal note I would really appreciate it if someone knows of a complete catalog of Lazereto / Leprosarium coins.

If this idea takes off I will try to persuade our wise moderator Ben to make it a sticky post for easy reference.

McFadden et al: The Numismatic Aspects of Leprosy. Money, Medals, and Miscellanea seems like the book you want, but unfortunately, it is not available for download. But it is available for $45 if you want, which is the cheapest price I have seen on the net. It typically goes for $80 to $125. PM me and I'll give you the link...

Great idea Phil, I seem to have lost all of the catalogues I have downloaded but have still some material I may be able to share once I've spoken to the owner.

The Numisdocs section needs to be reorganized and hopefully the pdfs issue will be solved then.

Now you have this https://en.numista.com/numisdoc/library-143.html for books that members have and can help you with,

and this https://en.numista.com/numisdoc/numismatic-books-for-download-130.html for links for books to download.

I don't know if Xavier would think of enough server space to store on Numista the pdfs ???

D'oh ! Mis-read. I assumed it was just a list of literature which members had :)
If anyone has pdf files about German notgeld (paper money) I would be very grateful!

You guys are missing A LOT of good, free books that should be added to the list. For instance, Hungary has:

Rusker, D., Coins of Hungary

which is the book I originally used, but found these to be a thousand times better:

Réthy, L., Corpus nummorus Hungariae - Magyar Egyetemes Éremtár I. Kötet, Budapest Magyar Tudományos Akadémia, 1899

I suggest you grab the Index on WoC that I put together on the various boards as it contains references to free books. Here is the one from the coins from Christendom:

Thanks for the links. The Ruckser was already there.
I asked for the addition of the Réthy.

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.
