It would be interesting to add to the information: Mahmud II 1223/78
where 1223 represent the first year of his reign, 78 is more difficult to determine:
AH1223+78= AH 1301. He was born on july 1784 : AH1198
AH1298 correspond to the modern determination of islamic years.
well ... I can't grasp the meaning of this78
And on the Numista coin picture, the "7" of 78 looks like a "2"
