Dear All,
is it possible to add in the coin descriptions featured in this website the mint city? Sometimes it appears in a single year as short description but most of the times no mention about city where coins were minted.
I know there are many pieces which were in circulation belonging to the XXth century without any mintmark (just an example, soviet coins) but for sure there should be a source where it is indicated where the coins where minted in case no mintmark on the surface.
Thanks to anyone who will reply,
Regards,

I don't know for modern/recent coinage but if you mean something like
this, we do so for ancient Rome coinage to help differentiate coins.

Hello,
Same done for Austria Habsburg and Bohemia when it is what distinguishes the coins and when there is only one mint place for all the coins of the sheet.
When mint place is indicated by a letter or small mint mark, then mint places are pooled and no indication is given on the coins name.
Somewhat variable but it works.

Hi,
I think this is a great Idea and you have my support. A reference catalog should have as much data as possible.
Cheers
