2019 Silver 1 penny

8 posts
Hello guys!

At the weekend I bought a silver one penny 2019, and I just wanted to add it to my collection, but I'm not really sure, it's can go to here:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces133622.html

On the 2018 dated one, the date is on the head, on the 2019 one, the date is on the reverse. What you think, can we count it for the same coin, just with different year, or it is a new type (and mame it for a new page)?

Hello and thank you for your contribution. In my opinion, the two issues are very similar with such a small change between the two years that I would keep them on the same page.

Because they are so recent, we won't know what reference Krause will give them for several years so until then, I will add some comments to the page to include both years/varieties.

I trust that this meets with general approval and we can always review at a later date, if necessary.

Edit: @krezga, if you can send pics of your 2019 coin then I can add to the page.

Thank you for the answer! I’m quite curious about the Krause and the Spink reference as well, just a few years and we will see :)

tomorrow I will make a picture

Here is the picture, just from one side, sorry, I dont want to open the package :)
Thanks again, picture added to listing.

to me, this would totally be a new type, as lettering is different on both obverse and reverse
but it's up to the referee I guess
