I think in such cases the price for gold/silver coins shall be automatically equal to metall value or all the manually inputed values below the metall value shall be calculated as metall value.

That's one of the future updates: value cannot be below metal (when precious metal), then value for a grade Y cannot be lower than a grade Y-1 nor be higher than a grade Y+1.
