Is the 1992 mintage of 31 million accurate? Perhaps it's supposed to be 3,164,000 and somebody added an extra zero by mistake.

Hi
You have a good point, but it's inherited from Krause. The 46th edition (2018) lists it @31,640,000

But since it only lives 905,502 people on the islands, there wouldn't be any need to struck 43,716,000 pieces on the coin in 16 years? If the number was reduce to 3,164,000, the number would be 15,240,000 pieces, which sounds more realistic. Can the numbers be confirmed through the Reserve Bank of Fiji?
Coin referee for: AZE, FRO, GRL, US-HI, KOR, KGZ, MLI, MHL, MMR, PRK, UZB, SML, TAT, TWN, TJK

Numbers of people owning it also reflect the mintage and in this case, it is rather consistent, ao I would too go for a mistake.
