Roman Provincial Coins of the Reign of Trajan in Museum Collections in Northern Turkey

The coin collections in the museums of Amasra, Edime, Istanbul, Izmit, Iznik, Karadeniz Eregli, Konuralp and Sinope, were visited between April and November 2019. In the course of their investigation, it was possible to obtain information on previously unpublished coins from the reign of Trajan (45 provincial and 338 imperial coins), enabling new conclusions to be drawn about local circulation and the attribution of certain issues.
