Description

The Royal Australian Mint in conjunction with some Australian Newspapers released this set of 14 coins. The set was named "Legends of the ANZACS". All of the coins depict various Service Medals awarded to AustralianServicemen in various war theatres over the years that the Australian Military Forces have been involved in since 1914 up to the Afghanistan War.

 

The set comprised of ten NCLT 20 cent coins & four NCLT 25 Cent coins. The first coin in the set and the folder was given away free but the rest had to be purchased at a cost of $3.00 each with a voucher from the newspaper. The mintages were different for each coin in the set as they were issued individually. Mostly the mintages were around 230,000 for each coin although the free one was around 450,000.

They were issued in individual coincards that could be slotted into pages in a special Collector Folder.
