This folder is dedicated to the "World Heritage Sites in Belgium" series, this is the fifth issue, dedicated to "Notre-Dame Cathedral" in Tournai.

Built in the 12th century, it admirably combines the styles of three distinct periods: the Romanesque nave, the Gothic choir, and a transitional style between Romanesque and Gothic in the transept. The transept is the most distinctive part of the entire building, with a group of five bell towers and two semicircular apses at the ends.

The folder contains one commemorative medal “2009 World Heritage - Cathedral of Tournai".
