This folder is dedicated to the "World Heritage Sites in Belgium" series, this is the fourth issue, dedicated to "Les Beffrois"

Built in the twelfth century, these medieval public bell towers symbolized the autonomy of local political power in Flemish cities in France and Belgium. They were the heart of the city, and still are today, hosting exhibitions, concerts, and festivals.

The folder contains one commemorative medal “2008 World Heritage - Belforten (colourised)".
