Belarus 20 Roubles Sedov dated 2010 not 2008 [résolu]

Hello,

what should I do. I have this coin https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces32530.html but dated 2010 and not 2008.
According to information from Bank of Belarus, coins of this type where minted only in 2008.

I have tried to contact the bank of Belarus and the Mint of Poland (Mennica Polska), Warsaw but no answer from either one.

From my own measurements
Metal: Silver .925
Diameter: 38.6mm
Weight: 27.88g

Could then even be worth sending it to be graded.

I did not receive any reply from the mint of Poland nor from the Bank of Belarus.
I believe this to be a mule error and it is now packed to be graded by GENI (GENI is a new counterpart to NGC and PCGS from France).

Will let you know what comes out of the grading probably in December.

Did you get this coin with COA and with official box ? Are you completely sure is silver ?

the coin was minted by the Mint of Poland.
If there where mule errors struck they might have kept records of that.
No I do not have the certificate or the box of issue for this coin, the coin comes from a trustable seller and the coin looks good.
If it was fake it is incredibly well made, also probably there would be more than one if it was a fake.
let‘s see how it comes back from the grading company, they use XRF scanners and the sort to check authenticity of coins.

Thx for the info Paul. I get response from the mint that Sedov were minted only in 2008. In 2010 were minted Amerigo Vespucci. Can you send me a video or youtube link that i could show at the mint, so they could confirm for sure that this will be mule and exclude that I didint download reverse from Amerigo Vespucci and obverse from Sedov,

Stupid me, at work I had my mind somewhere else.
of course I can‘t make a video of it now as its on the way to the grading company since yesterday.
The grading company said it should take until around the start of December when its back.

No problem at all. Polish Mint confirmed that there were no Sedov 2010 only 2008. So it is a high probability that this is a mule. I cross fingers that you have such gem.

it was returned by the grading company as original and was graded PR67

It seems that it is a mule error struck with the Obverse dies of 20 Roubles
Amerigo Vespucci or Constitution
and the reverse dies of the 20 Roubles Sedov from 2008

I plan to sell it at auction and we will see what they say about this piece.
