I have a couple of these “coins” which appear to be silver one side and gold the other. I can't seem to find any information on them, I'm just wondering if in fact they are made of gold and silver, or just plated

well of course there were both silver “Eagles” and gold "Eagles issued in 2000/

what you have inside that case is another matter.

the gold side looks like a replica of the gold coin,

the silver side may in fact be a one ounce silver round.

you would have to crack the case open to see what you have,

which you will have to decide.

The diameter is 25.5mm, approx. 1.95mm thick and weighs 6.95 grams and has a reeded edge. There is no marks on it or the case to indicate where it was made, but I know commemorative items were made in their thousands for the Millennium.

To be clear, the two sides shown are the same piece of metal?

not one each gold piece and silver piece in two cases?

Yes, just one coin, pictures show both sides of it.

So. A consumer grade novelty. no precious metals. Period novelty re-sale value, maybe $5-10.
