First of all I must say that I very much like that Numista now has a functionality for adding grades from third-party companies. One thing that caught my eye is the function for adding designations. I'm unsure whether it is intended as a complete list or not, but I'm not able to write designations that does not exist in the list. For instance I want to add a coin with the designation FS (full steps). Currently that is not possible and I believe that should be allowed.

Best regards,
Tor

Yes. As you see below I do not have those options when selecting PCGS. I do overall think allowing "custom" designations is easier than attempting to create a final list.

I like the idea of allowing us to add our own custom designations only if it makes things easier on Numista.  The down side is that I could see people creating custom designations that are either fabricated, outright wrong,  inconsistent, or duplicative.

Yes, FS (Full Steps) is missing from PCGS and should be added.

Hello,

I added “FS” as a designation for PCGS.

More designations are probably missing, as their webpage only list a few designations. I'll try to build a more exhaustive list.

I would prefer not allowing free text there. It's not needed if we have an exhaustive list.

Many of the PCGS Designations are still missing. A complete list can be found here:  https://www.pcgs.com/grades

NGC's can be found here: https://www.ngccoin.com/news/article/5256/  I did not check to see if any were missing.

Thank you, I added the missing PCGS designations from your link, including the Specimen (SP) grades.

All designations from the NGC link should already be there.
