I found this in a bulk bin. It looks like its a J.A countermark on an old UK coin. Possibly N#12981
size approx 34 mm
The countermark seems to be contempory as the coin shows more wear where it deformed was deformed by the mark.
I would be curious to know what this is and where it was used etc.
