Hello,

With coin set's being added as feature on Numista, I would like to request that “Food and agriculture organization of the united nations (FAO)” be added to the list of issuers. FAO issued FAO Albums and Money Panel Boards under F.A.O. coin program between the late 1960s and early 1980s to raise awareness and funds for global agricultural development and the fight against hunger.

The F.A.O. coin program was an ambitious international coin program developed by the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization.

In total 7 Albums and 17 Money Panel boards were issued. The FAO Albums and Money Panel boards are sought after by collectors though out the world as it remains among only few cases where coins of multiple countries were issued under a single set.

Adding Food and agriculture organization of the united nations (FAO), would allow the users to submit the request for “Sets” in Numista database.

Thanks for consideration !!

The FAO isn't the issuer, the countries are. The coins are legal currencies of the countries that issue them. The FAO doesn't have the right to issue coins in various currencies.

There is an FAO tag. (Several last time I looked and cleaned it up a bit.)

Yes, FAO is not the issuer of the coins, however FAO is indeed the issuer of the FAO Album and money panel sets. There are ample resources (provided in the original post) that point to the fact that FAO did indeed get the coins from each country and issued the set (FAO money panels) in its name.

Sets don't have issuers.

Thanks for your submission, but the issuers are the nations.
