Just found this amongst a load of old Canadian pennies…

Just worn, or something else? Trying to get a better photo, but the microscope doesn't feel that it wants to work tonight (poor thing's had a busy day😦 )

That's an unusual pattern of wear, if it is wear. Maybe some defect with an aging reverse die? 1907 was the last year the Royal Mint (and Heaton) produced these cents, before production shifted to the Royal Canadian Mint in Ottawa.

The 1907 H 1 Cent still eludes me so far.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw it !!  I wonder if anyone else has found something similar, even if it's on a different type of coin.
