Dear Referees, and all,

I am encouraging Numista Referees for countries to communicate on the achievements we have reached, as I think it is of principle interest of every single Numista member.

So, here is my status report, which I invite everyone to comment on and challenge and discuss. I am publishing this with a hope, that it will be followed by other referees and we can establish a nice line of communication based on Numista member's needs and expectations:

So. here is my part:
HUNs are done. :) - as for verification :wiz:

Hungary: 100%,
645 verified types of coins, no unverified pages, some types not complete, and I'll see to that later. No duplications, clear structure. That means that in my rough estimation, Numista has now about 35% of Hungarian coinage uploaded, and that is not bad, at all.
We're gonna conquer the remaining 1300 coins in no time ;)

Hungarian States: with exception of 2 coins it is 100% also.  -  I have also consulted my catalogs here, we need about 400 more entries to be close to complete (this'll be a tougher job, but I'll see to it)

Hunnic Empire: 100% verified, only David Sear and God knows how many missing...

I would enjoy to see similar status reports from others, as well, to see how we develop.
Please, do so!
English Numista is at 89.93% verified.

After a little more work, I can't wait to see those digits change to 90%!

Verified coins EN : 90.10%  (81.03% including tokens)
 ;)
Hey everyone, I verified the many pages added to Peru. It was very boring, long work but it was worth the effort. If need be, you may check the history of these pages to verify that I did the work.

On a side note, English Numista has reached 90.25% verified. I'm really proud of the outcome, and Numista looks brighter than ever! B) (so bright I had to wear sunglasses)

Also...

All pages from Vatican verified, making the total pages 90.30% verified. At this rate, 4 pages = 0.01%, which isn't bad depending on how many sheets need to be verified for one country.

I would like someone to work on Princely states and Canada with me. Whoever can, send me a PM and we can bump the percentage up by a few percentage points. ;)

Great job Kenny!

I know, Xavier, the great master, shall do the leadership and motivation, but he seems to be lacking again, so I do substitute:

Good job, we need more similar achievements, we like you,

THANKS!
Kenny please see the website thread, I was about to add pics in my pending changes section when it vanished, I've also lost that pice I added for India.
As asked, I inform I have just ended verifying/correcting existing coins and adding missing ones for the period of Peso Uruguayo (1993-date) from Uruguay.

It is 44 coins, out of 195 I have in my sources; so it makes 22.5% of total. Sounds too few, but I was busy, and I only could start it yesterday.

I plan to verify Nuevo Peso and Gaucho periods (1976-1992) tomorrow, Sunday, and would add 10/15 more each following day, so I guess I will do all my part in 10/12 more days, if nothing goes wrong. Maybe someone noticed I am doing it backwards, it's cause for the newer coins I have better sources, and it is a good training for when I reach the oldies, and I would have to search harder.

I would appreciate if any of the Numista Jedis can have a brief look of my job and say me their opinion. Will be very welcome.

Thanks,
Daniel (adanieluy),
Referee for Uruguay.

Oh, so it was you, Daniel. :)

Well, like the Peruvian coins, I edited the pages to make them formatted right. Please try to follow the formatting (leave out commemorative years in the title, wrap around the event in paranthesis, and write "XXth Anniversary of (the) Commemorated-Event" in the commemorated event box. So far they look almost perfect. ;)

English section expanded from 42 non-duplicate sheets to 147, of far higher quality, not so many verified as I am still trying to apply some more consistency. UK cleared of all pre-1707 (before which there was no such entity), and thus now has a very high percentage of verified sheets. Scotland going slower, just sorting out for now, and an application made to start on Ireland. :~

Very good, manx. I'm gald you're working hard on the catalogue. :)

Since I've been having some sleep deprivation, I'm trying to push myself away from Numista. There's been a lot of tension on the site: new pages being added without going through the request system, the despicable scammer saying nonsense on the forum, and new work piling up after old work is finished. However, I'll be finishing my last big project on Numista on Colombian coins. Currently I'm adding new pages, correcting data, all that motherjazz. School is coming next week so school comes first, Numista second.

Now that I got your attention, please help me fixing two things:
1) I need you to erase year 2008 from 2 Pesos Uruguayos coin, KM# 104: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces3056.html, since was not minted on that year. (see Krause, it does not mention this year, and Monedas Uruguay, official site of our country http://www.monedasuruguay.com/valor.htm; there is not showing either).
You also can see coins to exchange https://en.numista.com/echanges/liste.php?piece=3056 This KM type is very common, but none has a single coin to swap.
I bet if you can see the coins in collections you should not find anyone having it; and if there is someone, for sure is a mistake, I would ask them to confirm if they really have it

2) On 5 Pesos Uruguayos KM# 120 shows variant KM# 120.2 on year 2003: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces3057.html.
The difference to KM# 120.1 is the direction of neck of portrait.
There is no sense to have this variant for this year, as they were issued on different minthouses, 2 years apart. I know it shows on Krause, but all have found mistakes (very reasonable, taking into account the huge amount of different coins they must manage; and for sure they don't have most of rare variants; they just validate them based on the information they have; not on observation of coin).
Again you can see coins to exchange, and nobody has it https://en.numista.com/echanges/liste.php?piece=3057, in spite many people have the other years.
Also in this case is not showing on Monedas Uruguay site; they only mention alignment variants, that are confirmed.
In resume, I need you to delete variant KM # 120.2 for year 2003; since I am pretty sure never existed, and none of the collectors/sellers in my country have seen this variant (I have asked to more than 30 of them, and most told me they have seen it mentioned in Krause, but never seen a single coin).

Best regards,

I was away for a while but very soon I'm gonna make Estonia perfect. Yes, nobody cares about Estonia, but I bought a book specifically about Estonian coins and I have a lot to add.

Canada is tougher, but I think most stuff 1 cent-25 cents should be ok and 50 cents and higher will be my focus in the coming weeks.

The English Australia section has 100% verified data lists and only 23 pages that don't have verified year lists.
Thank you guys, I still believe it is crucial to share what we do.
The members need to know to grab motivation!

I've added some 90+ coins to Hungary, so now Hungary has 715+ coins, being in the top 10 nations (where it should be! - as far as coinage goes ;) ) - going for the remaining 2000+ items, insha'Allah
Update:
Australia has 100% verified and complete pages.

We do.
I do.
täname teid ;)  for making it perfect! ... and Livonia as well!
Argentina is still being revised, at approximately a 70% :`
Ottomans are verified to 100% - a lot of missing coins, though, looking for enthusiastic contributors!
Nothing to say,
(except that Hunnic Empire gained 1 coin and the Ottomans gained 3)
however, I would like to keep this on the post alive to monitor what the referrees are doing.

Please, contribute, the community needs to know what you are working on, and how they can support you. Thanks for all who did, and looking forward to the others!

English Numista is at 90.72% verified. Great!

If we had more ancient coin enthusiasts who became referees, Numista would be nearly complete.

;) Depends on the definition of "complete", which seem to differ for many of us, Kenny. :)
Quite a lot of Canadian and Peruvian photos still to be checked, so when that's done... Even more complete.
