Hello Numista members,

So recently I obtained this weird token with Edward VII's face on the obverse.

After a bit of research I was able to find the same type of token on Numista, only with Victoria's face on it:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces41158.html
However I have troubles finding the token with Edward's face and the one on Numista has a different reverse. Please help me.
Diameter: 22mm
Weight: 3-4g (my scale can not show the weight in 0.1g)
Thanks in advance, Tom Wolf

Monephil, that's the one I was talking about. It has the same obverse (Edward's face) but the reverse should be the same as a sovereign (if you know what I mean). The token does however look real and maybe it just hasn't been documented in numista?

I'm going to research it a bit more .
PS: It's not a sovereign (those were made out of gold)

Edit: Found it
 :P

You're right, this looks more like it (it's chromed):

Was it ever a token - there is part remaining at the top where a loop has been cut off ?

That's what I was thinking, a little medallion of some kind

Ok my entry was a horrible aluminium one, but with a pendant hole (broken) and now I have three of these in two sizes.  I think they originate in India or Egypt.
