My mother bought this at a flea market! I am getting her interested in coins and she found this! I cannot find this! I am thinking Korea?

Have a look at the USA coins then.  Every year is over a billion and in 1982 the mintage of the pennies is over 16 billion, and USA's population is less than 1/3 of China's population

that's such a waste of money, you can't even buy anything with 1 cent

Except for the bill ends in 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9.  Which it does quite often after sales tax is added.

Here in finland the 1 and 2 cent coins aren't used so if you buy something thats 1.99 euros it becomes automatically 2 euros exept if you pay with card, also if you buy something that's 1.97 euros it becomes 1.95
Even the 5 cent coins are almost useless here because I don't think you can buy even a pencil for 5 cents

Here in New Zealand our lowest denomination coin is 10c so things get rounded up/down to 10 unless you pay with a card.
