Hello,

A long-awaited feature to enrich coin pages has just been published: links between coin pages. This allow to add a coin page references to variant coins or other coins from the same series.

For instance, there is link on the page of the French coin 1 Centime to the coin 1 Centime (2nd Republic)
 Great - thanks.  :)

Awesome!
Also, BTW, I  never heard back on the question that I asked you...
Cool. things are shaping up!
Very nice, thanks for adding this great new feature!
Maybe a bit of supportive guidance of this fantastic new feature comes useful.
So, here are my suggestions of what coins should be linked:

1) Commemorative series - kinda obvious
this shall be linked, and are linked already:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces28768.html
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces28274.html

2) Commemorative series over countries with the same motive, like 2 euros, or other, like these:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces37119.html
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces12379.html
Just to stick with the Sándor Petőfi motive

3) Same or similar coins, but different legends
due to multifunction of the monarch:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces71744.html

4) Coins commemorating other coins:

What else would you add to the list?
Great feature. Thanks!

Nice  update . :wiz:  :wiz:

It would  be nice if' link' option  is added to the new feature.

Hi,
Can you test this with a random Hungarian coin, right now, so I can see what a referee gets if you ask for an update!

i refreshed 5-6 times  but  it says the same.same result for hungary coin also
okay, this seems to be a bug, this what I got:

XAVIER, please, look into it.
If I modify things as a referee, things work great, but cannot proceed requests, it seems. Now, I also understand why I was confused on your [Xavier's] Forint/Florin request!

Thanks,
Imre

ps1... Thanks, adithyasrao, for bringing this up! Keep on adding coins! Cheers!
ps2.... Xavier, I cannot even delete adithyasrao's requests, so this feature needs another test run, I guess.
There were serious bugs with the validation of requests with links. It should be fixed now.
thanks, Xavier, so if any of you is still around can we run another test-run with a random Hungarian linked to something? - just to be safe.
oh, cool, it is fixed, tremendously, keep on acting, Xavier!
thank you  xavier  and  imreh. it has been corrected  now.  :)
sure
it would be  nice if 'link' and 'list '  option is added   to' link other coins ' section in the  "modify  data" page.
I can not verify  any coins right now. I get this message. The drop down bar says I have 2 validations waiting. The database encountered a problem. Please try to refresh the page in a few minutes (press F5). (MySQL 26-Apr-2015 02:02:36)

I can offer the same thing as above, can you try with a random Hungarian coin, and let me see...
It works now.
cool
i viewed  10-15  countries . but could not find this new feature in any coins  of that country.

i felt bad  because nobody  is interested in this new feature. :snif:  :snif:

It's brand new and Numista counts 61.000 pages so I don't think it is strange that you don't see it being used yet. Anyway, I will start adding them from late June as I don't have much time now.

i have also started to add. i have added 2 to 3 coins  to 10-15 cuntries.
it is a long waited feature, so it will take some time to get it utilized. Just like Euromunt, I'll do it as soon as time finds me. Till then, of course, you are welcome to link coins and submit them for verification,

Cheers,

Imre
