Regnal year 25 doesn't exist for this coin so it must be regnal year 29, although the 9 is a bit crooked:

By the way, nice find Petrus. I was also searching but didn't find the coin. Because the yearlines on some coinpages aren't correct. Instead of the accession date (the date you see on the coin) the year lines show the sum of the accession date + regnal year. So I was searching for 1223 but of course couldn't find those when the regnal years are added to that date. (I made a change request).

Another question Petrus, how do you know it's the 6 kurus and not the 3 kurus (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces40893.html) or 1 1/2 kurus (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces33123.html)? Except for weight and diameter I don't see any difference, and we don't have any info about weight and diameter yet.

I also notice the date digits are a lot smaller than on the pictures on the three coinpages, and also the flowers under the beaded ring are different. Together with the crooked 9 in the regnal year and the hole in the coin, could it be possible this is not a real coin but an imitation used for a belly dancer costume?
The most important is to recognize the قسطنطينية (Constantinopel) or the Misr (Egypt)
I learned that there are a lot of varietions in hammered coins. Indeed I do not know how much kurush it is, but by comparing the dimensions of the symbols in relation with the diameter....
Th 25 is indeed somewhat confusing. The 9 looks strange.
It can indeed be the 1 1/2, the 3 or the 6 kurush.
The 3 has a flat edge, the 1 1/2 and 6 seems to have a reeded edge.
Belly danser coin? Possible. But there are a lot of real coins with a hole.
The dimensions and weight could help.

Hi & thanks to all.
It's about 30mm, and 3g, - so I think it is a 1 1/2 Kurus coin, Mahmud II, circa 1835.
