What was this token used for?

Merchants issue tokens as promotions and, at least in times past, they were very effective advertising.
The WERTH-MARK(E) series was a generic and anonymous issue sold to all comers. The idea was to mark them with the name of an owner or establishment. Some were, many were not.

The section exists on the website for the database after 1800, but the link doesn't work. 

Are there other lists of identified countermarks for Wert-Marke?
