I am a complete novice in the world of coins! I came across this tiny gold coin in my garden whilst digging a flower bed. I noticed that it was from Peru and the date appears to be 1921 (possibly 1901, it is quite faded). The only place where I have been able to find the same coin listed is on this site, as a 'Peruvian Trade Pound' which had a rarity rating of 93, which is quite high, so I am just curious as to confirming what exact coin it is and if it is worth anything.
The coin itself is very small, smaller than a 5p so perhaps 8mm at most.
On one side of the coin it has the old head of Victoria with the writing 'Victoria DEI GRA Britt Regina FID DEF IND IMP' and on the other side of the coin it has the Peruvian Coat of Arms with the writing 'Republica Peruana Lima 1901 (not 100% sure, could be 1921).
I've attached some pictures of the coin, unfortunately I have had to use my iPhone to take the photos so they are not the clearest, sorry.

If anyone could help me I would be so grateful! Very interested to know the history of this little gold coin that I have discovered!
Many thanks,
Rosemary
